Snowmass Peruvian Kingston

Huacaya Herdsire/Jr. Herdsire

Kingston's genetics are VERY limited in the United States. His sire, Peruvian Escobar, was sold to an Australian breeder for $150K. Both Kingston and his sire belonged to the highly-respected Snowmass Alpacas. Kingston is a product of the Snowmass breeding program. We acquired him in the late summer of 2004 and he began breeding a few months later. His first cria just arrived and he has several more due in 2006.

Kingston's Dam was imported from the Cchonchatanca cooperative breeding program of Peru, one of the most superior breeding programs in all of Peru and noted as one of the largest Champion winners in Peru shows. She was owned by Snowmass Alpacas and is currently owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Farm.

Kingston's Sire, Snowmass Escobar, was sold to the same Australian breeder who purchased Snowmass' Snowmaster. Escobar is a son of Peruvian Hemingway, who is Allianza, and is one of the finest studs who was always at the top of his class in shows.

If you breed for the vicuna pattern, or if you want to add body size and fiber fineness to your herd, Kingston may be just what you are looking for.

Stud fee: $2,500

Lineage Record

4Peruvian Capuchin
Medium Brown, 166677, Peruvian

Imported from the Cchonchatanca cooperative breeding program of Peru. Capuchin is currently owned by Cas-Cad-Nac Farm. To date, she has had no true-white crias--her offspring range in color from beige to true black.

Snowmass Escobar
White, 180494, Peruvian

Escobar took Reserve Champion in the 1998 Futurity. He is a Hemingway son, who was formerly owned by Snowmass Alpacas. He is medium framed and boned with very correct conformation. Escobar is compact like his father and is as lustrous as Legacy, which is quite extreme. He has the incredible combination of density, fineness, dramatic crimp and luster with extreme soft hand. Escobar is currently standing at stud in Australia, making his offspring in the United States even more valuable because they are relatively few in number.
Escobar is owned by Cedar House Alpacas - and can be seen at www.cedarhousealpaca.com.au/services/chaps/escob.htm
